Days before the release of the movie Jacqueline Comes Home (The Chiong Story) in cinema, netizens in social media calls to boycott after claiming it does not present the side of Larrañaga and the other accused.

The movie stars Meg Imperial and Donnalyn Bartolome as the Chiong sisters who went missing in Carcar, Cebu back in 1997. The movie is based on a real-life tragedy where Marijoy Chiong and Jacqueline Chiong were kidnapped, gang raped and killed.

The suspected “mastermind” was Francisco Juan “Paco” Larrañaga, who happens to be the great-grandson of Sergio Osmeña Sr. Other accused are seven men who belongs to prominent and known families in Cebu City.

After the release of the trailer of the film, netizens criticized the upcoming movie even those who have not seen the trailer. They claim that the film is biased in Choing's side and is based on false testimony of the convicted felon. Netizens started to post online outrage regarding the film. Most post were accompanied with video having a documentary title "Give Up Tomorrow" which is fully based on Larrañaga's side of story.
