To hone the leadership skills of the students at Capiz State University - Roxas City Main Campus, 114 student leaders joined in the Leadership Training 2024 held on June 4 - 6 at La Roma's Inn, Tapaz.

Participated by the Supreme Student Council (SSC) and newly elected Future Leaders of the Philippines (FLP) Officers, the three-day training featured activities geared to make attendees be better student leaders.

The first day of the training concluded with five plenary sessions by Mr. Kristian Eldie Nogra, one of the jurists doctors of CapSU Main Legal Office, Dr. Wennie F. Legario, CapSU Vice President for Administrative and Finance, Dr. Eimee D. Potato, Student Affairs and Services, Atty. Toche Vic Doce and, Atty. Ann Margaret P. Dy.

In Dr. Legario's session, he highlighted the importance of having a strong mindset, emphasizing that leaders create more leaders and not followers, while Dr. Potato stressed the importance of anchoring the action plan of the organizations present to the 17 Sustainable Development Goals.

During the second day, the student leaders immersed on a series of team building activities where they got a chance to apply their knowledge during the plenary sessions. The second day ended with a socialization night, giving the students an opportunity to get to know their co-officers.

The leadership training ended with an action plan-making whereย the SSC National, FLP, and SSC Local Sub-Chapters presented their plans in front of the panels consisting of Dr. Jay Lord Asis - SSC Adviser, Dr. Dennis Ledesma - FLP Adviser, Prof. June Rey Garbosa - SSC College of Education - Local Adviser, and Prof. Marivic Estorninos, SSC Bachelor of Industrial Technology - Local Adviser. It ended with a critiquing session where the advisers shared their input on the FO5 presented by the presidents of the organization.
