CAPSU, ASEAN Youth Organization sign MOU, hold AI-Ready Training

The signing of a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) between Capiz State University (CapSU) and the ASEAN Youth Organization held on February 5 at the Dadivas Gymnasium formalized their partnership.
Opened the program with a message, Dr. Salvacion J. Legaspi, Vice President for External Affairs and Linkages, welcomed the guests, faculty members, and students.
MOU was read and explained by Dr. Rosel L. Dionio, Head of the Digital Transformation Office, who clarified its provisions and objectives.
Served as the highlight of the event, the signing of the MOU formalized the partnership between CapSU and the ASEAN Youth Organization.
Delivered the acceptance speech, Dr. Efren L. Linan, SUC President III.
“Today, we formalize a collaboration where education, technology, and solidarity meet. This Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) aims to provide Al-ready training that builds knowledge, practical skills, and ethical awareness; promote cooperation and mutual learning among CAPSU students, faculty, and the ASEAN Youth Organization; and support ongoing research, innovation, and community projects addressing real-world challenges, aligned with ASEAN's vision for a future-ready youth and institutions,” Linan Said.
Senjaya Mulia, founder of the ASEAN Youth Organization, also gave her speech emphasizing that through this MOU, the partnership affirms that technology must unite nations, uplift communities, and shape a future that is ethical, inclusive, and human-centered.
Afterwards, Nina Mae R. Quimpo conducted the AI training session, during which students participated in prepared activities related to artificial intelligence.
This activity symbolizes the start of the collaboration between CAPSU and the ASEAN Youth Organization, focusing on integrating AI-related initiatives into academic and community-oriented programs.
