In the effort to inform and officially welcome new and transfer students, the Office of Guidance and Counseling held a Student Orientation Program on August 28 – 31 and September 3, 2019.
The Office of Guidance and Counseling, headed by Mrs. Araceli Cortel, held an Orientation Program to incoming students for five days. The College of Education was scheduled on August 28, department of Industrial Technology on August 29, College of Management on August 30, Graduate School on August 30 and College of Engineering and Architecture on September 3.
The general objective of the activity is to facilitate students’ adjustment to college life. Specifically its objectives are for students to ; (1) identify the history, mission, goals, principles and core values of Capiz State University, (2) appreciate the Faculty and Staff of one’s college, and (3) get to know the academic process of the University, the student support services, students’ rights and responsibilities, students decorum and grievance procedure. Topics on Bullying and University Counseling Referral System were also included.
The orientation was made possible with the support of the Campus Administration, Office of the Student Affairs, Supreme Student Council and the faculty and staff of the campus.
