Fifteen (15) graduates of Capiz State University (CapSU) - Main Campus taking up Bachelor of Science in Architecture gave pride as they passed the June 2023 Architecture Licensure Examination conducted last June 9 and 11, 2023.
Announced on June 15, the official list of CapSU – Main Campus board passers are the following : Ar. Celeste Gaje, Ar. Rica Villanueva, Ar. Joylyn Abagatnan, Ar. Cathleen Artuz, Ar. Carlo Barredo, Ar. Handrow Clavaton, Ar. Glaiza Dalida, Ar. Ferdinand Delay, Ar. John Lenold Isiderio, Ar. Nor John Cedric Laforteza, Ar. Lindsey Madahan, Ar. Judy Milarpis, Ar. Philip Quibrantar, Ar. Anne Nicole Villarruz and last but not the least is Ar. John Elmer Seneres, 5th placer on the said examination.
The Professional Regulation Commission (PRC) released the results of the June 2023 ALE wherein 2,924 out of 4,784 (61.12%) passed the exams conducted in Manila, Baguio, Cebu, Davao, Iloilo, Legazpi, Lucena, Pampanga, Tacloban, Tuguegarao, and Zamboanga.
Architect Joylyn Abagatnan, one of the CapSU – Main Campus board passers said that she can’t believe she would be able to pass the board examination. "Ako first ko nga ging ubra ging kup an si mama kay indi ko kapati kapasar ko. Very unexpected gid. Until now, still on cloud 9 pa."
"I wouldn't consider it a secret because I think everyone who has taken the board can relate na it's really faith kay God, it's all God.", she also said after being asked if what is the secret of her success in the licensure examination. "Akon lang gid gina panghawakan ang faith ko kay Lord kag ang life verse ko for 6 months while reviewing 1John 5:14," she added.
Being a licensed architect now, she also gave advice for those students who want to be an architect like her in the future, "Sa mga manghod namon sa CapSU, mga ga school pa, padayon lang. Though mabudlay kag damo hardship sa course, enjoy niyo lang ang college. Masadya sa UAPSA. Sa mga graduating namon nga manghod who will now enter apprenticeship, don't be afraid to step out sa in your comfort zone. Be a sponge. Be humble and absorb and absorb lang learnings from your mentor. Advantage gid pag may first hand experience. Praying gid nga damo pa ma produce architects ang CAPSU and top notchers."
