Iloilo City, July 20, 2025 โ In a dynamic convergence of sustainability and innovation, two teams from the United Architects of the Philippines Student AuxiliaryโCapiz State University (UAPSA-CapSU) earned top distinctions at the PHILBEX PROJECTO: Ideas and Design Competition, held during the multi-industry ILOILO TRIO 2025 at the Iloilo Convention Center.
Team GA-AABB, composed of Alo Irish, Andrada Vince Ryle, Bacanto Gene Cristine, Brillo Danielle, and Gonio Keanu Renz, clinched first place with their entry "EDURYAW: A Proposed Sustainable Integrated School in Mandurriao, Iloilo City."
Meanwhile, "PROJETO PARAW: A Child-Centered Academic Sanctuary in the Heart of Santa Rosa, Iloilo City," an entry by Alanan Drich Paul, Inion Shem Joshua, Katipunan Lloyd, Mahinay Vironik Iza, and Nacua Kian Rae, secured a spot among the top five finalists.
The University of San Agustinโs Morphos team was declared the overall winner, while Iloilo Science and Technology University (ISAT-U) claimed second place. Also joining PROJECTO PARAW in the top five was KINURISAN: A SPED Integrated Primary School.
With the theme โBeyond Sustainnovation,โ PHILBEX ILOILO 2025 showcased advancements in construction and interior design. The event featured curated installations by Filipino designers, interactive design talks and seminars, the PHILEX Lab, and the highly anticipated PROJECTO competition.
Organized by Worldbex Services International (WSI), ILOILO TRIO 2025 brought together three premier expos under one roof: PHILBEX (Philippine Building and Construction Expo), MAFBEX (Food and Beverage Expo), and TLEX (Travel and Leisure Expo). The event ran from July 17 to 20, drawing industry leaders and innovators from across the region.
