In preparation for Academic Year 2025, Capiz State University–Main Campus gathered its student leaders on August 8 for Pagpaninlo 2025, a campus-wide clean-up initiative aimed at promoting environmental responsibility and readiness for the return of classes.
Spearheaded by the Office of Student Affairs and Services (OSAS), the program opened with remarks from OSAS Chairperson Dr. Emmanuel Dayalo, who underscored the importance of collective effort in keeping the campus clean and green.
“Pagpaninlo is not just an act of tidying; it is a movement, a shared responsibility among us all,” Dr. Dayalo said.
Focal Person Dr. Cleo Jude A. Joaquin followed with a message, highlighting the values behind the initiative.
“It is a movement rooted in volunteerism, community engagement, and a shared aim for a better, greener environment. Through this cleanup drive and turnover of plant boxes, we are not only beautifying our space, but also planting the seeds of responsibility and environmental consciousness,” Dr. Joaquin remarked.
As part of the program, each recognized student organization was assigned a plant box to maintain throughout the academic year. Failure to do so will render the organization ineligible for recognition renewal in the following year.
The event concluded with Dr. Ellen Mae D. Besa, Student Organizations Activity Coordinator, commending the participants’ efforts and encouraging them to carry the spirit of cleanliness and volunteerism into all student-led initiatives.
