The Capiz State University (CapSU) – Main Campus welcomed the students for the new academic year through an Association of Southeast Asian Nations (ASEAN) themed celebration entitled “PAGSUGATA: 2022” at the Dadivas Gym, August 15, 2022.
To formally start the orientation, the faculty and staff of the main campus led the introduction of the university’s glossary education reform to the students.
“We have survived the test of time. We have survived the pandemic. We have survived educational reforms and societal changes. We have survived setbacks and adapted current trends. We do our best and perform to our best,” said the main campus administrator, Dr. Ma. Dorothee J. Villaruz, in her state of the campus address.
Dr. Editha C. Alfon, the university president, informed in her state of the university address that the Commission on Higher Education (CHED) Regional Office has approved limited face to face classes this semester but clarifies that most of the students will still be on flexible or blended mode of learning.
“We will still adhere to proper health protocols like wearing of facemask, social distancing, and checking of body temperature,” the university president emphasized in her university address.
The orientation was followed by a Catholic Mass Ceremony led by Archdiocesan Administrator, Rev. Msgr. Cyril B. Villareal, VG, Sthl – MA and ended with Pagpapakilala: A Campus Wide Orientation.
CapSU officially started its opening of classes on August 8 which was the same day as the 55th ASEAN day.
