To officially take oath to office all officers and members of the organized and accredited student body organizations and activities of the Office of the Student Affairs (OSA) for this academic year 2022-2023; to capacitate and update all officers and members through a leadership training, updated duties and responsibilities, and other services required by their organizations, Capiz State University Main Campus’ organizations joined the yearly General Oath Taking Ceremony and Leadership Training Workshop led by the OSA at Dadivas Hall last September 6, 2022.
The program was divided into two parts: the General Oath Taking ceremony and the Leadership Training Workshop.
Activities were opened after the program preliminaries, which was played on air with the opening remarks of the OSA’s Chairperson Eimee D. Potato, EdD, who also led the Oath Taking. This was followed by responses from Student Leaders and an intermission number delivered by John Oliver Bigcas, Senator of the Supreme Student Council.
The second part of the program began through the talk about Servant Leadership by the CapSU-Main’s Guidance Counselor Kristine Joy D. Sauler, MaEd, RGC, as she addressed several stories that provide insights into how a leader should be, stating: “In one simple act, we can make changes. And a leader… is someone either assigned, elected, appointed, or hired. As long as you assume the responsibilities while having the initiative to influence a positive change in improving the quality of life for the people who are under your service — you are a leader.”
As soon as the talk ended, the Student Organization and Activities Coordinator Emmanuel D. Dayalo, EdD, provided time to answer the queries about the organizations' forms, processes and updates for student organizations, followed by the presentation of the action plan and the activities of the organizations presented by the Presidents, Editors-in-Chief and Prime Minister of the organizations.
The following are the organizations who partook on the activity: CapSU Main Dance Troupe (CMDT), Young Entrepreneurs’ Society (YES), Kapisanan ng mga Edukador sa Filipino (KapEduFil), Philippine Institute of Civil Engineers – CapSU Student Chapter, Society of Future Science Mentors (SoFSMe), United Architects of the Philippines Student Auxiliary, Junior Public Administration Society, ORASA (Student Assistants), Future Livelihood Mentors (FuliMent), Supreme Student Council (SSC), Institute of Integrated Electrical Engineers – CapSU Student Chapter, Junior Association of Marketing Students, Capiz State University Main Chorale, Junior Philippine society of Mechanical Engineers, Empire of Food Technology Elites, Gawad Kalinga Youth of CapSU Main Campus, Junior Philippine Institute of Accountants, CapSU Circle of PEHM and MAPEH Majors, The Quest Publication, and the Society of English Majors.
This was followed by a short advisers' and student leaders’ forum that offered insights and advice on how to solve problems in relation to the running of the organizations, likewise catering these circumstances.
