Jazelle Hope B. Villasor, a fresh graduate of Bachelor of Science in Accountancy of Capiz State University - Roxas City Main Campus, passed the 2024 Certified Public Accountant Licensure Examination (CPALE) last May 31, 2024.
Villasor became the sole passer of CapSU Main in the May 2024 CPALE as the Professional Regulation Commission (PRC) released the result earlier than the expected schedule.
In an interview with Villasor, she shared her reaction upon knowing she passed, "Seeing my name sa list of passers, nagpangurog gid ko sadto and so excited to share the news with my family sa Capiz. Daw sadto nga time nagflashback dasun sakun ang mga time nga grabe akon hibi, ang mga na experience ko diri, ang mga burn outs, ang kapoy kag pinulaw during pag review and I can say nga worth it tanan nga sacrifices ko."
Recalling her struggles during the examination, Villasor added, "A lot of things happened during my stay in Baguio. Wala pa ako ka isa ka bulan, na snatch na phone ko. Naka experience man ako harassment a few times. But still, nagpadayon man gihapon bisan mabudlay."
The data from PRC revealed that CapSU Main garnered a passing rate of 20%, bearing only 1 passer out of 5 takers. Meanwhile, a sum of 3, 155 takers out of 10, 421 became new CPAs, bearing a 30.28% general passing rate.
CPALE is a three-day examination that took place on May 26-28, 2024 at 18 testing centers around various cities in the country: NCR, Baguio, Butuan, Cagayan de Oro, Calapan, Cebu, Davao, Iloilo, Koronadal, Legazpi, Lucena, Pagadian, Palawan, Pampanga, Rosales, Tacloban, Tuguegarao and Zamboanga.
