After a thorough pitching competition, student innovators from the College of Management and the College of Engineering, Architecture, and Technology earned spots in the top 10 finalists roster of the 2025 CAPSU EyLITE Challenge on July 27.

Representing CM was Golden Mirienda, composed of Mark David Tabang, Kiara Ysabel Borda, and Michaella Rose Alavata, fourth-year Bachelor of Science in Entrepreneurship students.

Their project introduced a variety of innovative Filipino pastries made with squash flour, designed to support local farmers.

Tabang explained that the idea was inspired by their shared goal of helping farmers improve their livelihoods through creative agricultural solutions.

Meanwhile, the Diwal Troopers team from CEAT included fifth-year Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering students John Michael Morata, Edgemel Angelo Amada, and Christian Magallanes.

They proposed a bio-mimic vivarium system for cultivating diwal, also known as the angel wing clam. The system features automatic control and monitoring, aiming to ensure efficient production while promoting environmental sustainability.

Both teams will advance to the final pitching round, where they will have the opportunity to further present and refine their projects during PAGTUKIB 2025, a platform dedicated to promoting innovative research and entrepreneurial ventures.

The annual EyLITE Challenge gathered 12 teams from various CAPSU campuses and satellite colleges, each presenting projects that were not only innovative and feasible but also socially relevant, with the potential to be developed into viable enterprises.
