JHLCA to back CapSU's cross-border internship

Hand in hand. An agreement between Japan Hospitality Learning Center Association (JHLCA) and Capiz State University (CapSU) became official after the two parties signed their memorandum of agreement (MOU) at CapSU Roxas Campus' conference hall last October 17, 2022.


In his message of commitment, Mr. Kazutaka Nakao, CEO of JHLCA, emphasized the amount of manpower the Philippines have, comparing it to Japan that has more elderlies in their population. "We have no younger generation in Japan which is too bad," he said.


According to this agreement, 40 students from CapSU are going to be selected for a cross-border internship in Nagashima, Japan wherein JHLCA shoulders all payments for domestic and international plane tickets, insurance in Japan, along with food and accommodation in the country.


"I hope that our good relationship with this university continues forever," Mr. Nakao said as he ended his speech. Likewise, Dr. Mary Ann B. Martelino, CapSU Vice President for External Affair and Linkages, praised the historic moment of CapSU's collaboration with an international industry.


This signing of MOU was participated by Dr. Editha C. Alfon, CapSU President, Mr. Kazutaka Nakao, CEO of JHLCA, Dr. Susan O. Dangan, CapSU Vice President for Academic Affairs, Dr. Mary Ann B. Martelino, CapSU Vice President for External Affair and Linkages together with Ms. Marilou Ramos, Director of JHLCA and Dr. Wennie Legario, CapSU Vice President for Administration and Finance.
